This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies EPS LT, UAB uses on skaitytuvas-kasa.lt, for which purposes, on which legal basis, and how you can manage your choice.

This document forms part of the Privacy Policy. Unless this Policy provides otherwise, personal data collected through cookies are governed by the Privacy Policy.

1.What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file that a site stores on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you open the site. Cookies allow the browser to be recognised, choices to be remembered and statistical information to be collected.

Similar technologies are other tools that perform an analogous function, including local storage, session storage, pixels and scripts. In this Policy they are, where appropriate, all referred to as cookies.

Cookies may be session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (kept until a stated expiry or until you delete them). They may be first-party (set by our site) or third-party (set by providers we use).

2.Legal basis

The use of cookies is governed by the Republic of Lithuania Law on Electronic Communications and the GDPR. Necessary cookies, without which the site cannot provide the service you request, do not require separate consent. Their legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the site and, where applicable, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

All non-necessary cookies (analytics, advertising, statistics, session recording) are used only with your prior consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may refuse or withdraw consent at any time; that does not stop you from browsing the site.

3.Categories of cookies

We use these categories on the site:

  • Necessary - required for the site to work, for security and to remember your cookie choice. These are always stored.
  • Analytics - help us understand how visitors use the site (traffic, pages, device, session flow). Stored only if you choose “I agree”.
  • Advertising and conversion - help us see whether advertising led to an enquiry or an order. Stored only if you choose “I agree”.

The site language (Lithuanian or English) is chosen by the address path (“/” or “/en”), not by a cookie. We do not use functional language cookies for that.

4.List of cookies and similar tools

The table below describes the tools used on the site. Exact third-party file names and lifetimes may change when their software is updated; you always control the current choice in the consent bar.

If you choose “Necessary only”, we do not set analytics or advertising tools and we do not load the related scripts.

5.Giving and withdrawing consent

The first time you visit the site you see a consent bar. You may:

  • choose “I agree” - analytics and advertising cookies are then loaded;
  • choose “Necessary only” - only necessary cookies and local storage to remember that choice are used.

The choice is stored on your device and applies to all pages of the site, including the Lithuanian and English versions. You can change it with the “Change cookie choice” button on this page - the bar is then shown again.

After you withdraw consent we will not set new non-necessary cookies. You can additionally delete third-party cookies already stored, in the browser, as described in the next section. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before that point.

6.Browser controls

Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies. Settings are usually under “Settings”, “Privacy” or “Cookies”. If you block all cookies, some site functions may not work properly (for example the consent bar may appear on every visit).

Instructions are in your browser’s help pages (for example Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Samsung Internet). On a mobile device you will also find settings in the system privacy section.

You may also use a browser “Do Not Track” or similar signal; whether it is honoured depends on the particular provider. On our site the decisive setting is your choice in the consent bar.

7.Third-party technologies

If you agree to analytics and advertising cookies, third-party providers may set their own cookies, read the IP address and device identifiers, and process data under their own privacy policies. They act as our processors and/or, in some cases, as independent controllers for advertising measurement.

Such providers may transfer data outside the EEA. In that case the transfer safeguards described in the Privacy Policy apply (adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses).

We do not control every third-party cookie that may be set on their domains. We recommend reviewing third-party cookie settings in your browser as well.

8.Final provisions

This version takes effect on the date stated in the heading. We may update the Cookie Policy when the technologies we use, the law or the consent tool change. The current version is published on this page.

Questions about cookies and personal data: sales@eps.lt. How complaints are handled, and the contact details of the State Data Protection Inspectorate, are set out in the Privacy Policy.
